School of Music – Scholarship Campaign

Campaign slogan: Where Every Note Counts
MTSU School of Music students

Supporting MTSU Music students through scholarship support so they can focus on their craft, their education, and their future.

Why This Campaign Matters

Every Day, Students Are Putting in the Work

At the MTSU School of Music, students dedicate countless hours to practicing, rehearsing, performing, and preparing for careers in music and music education. What many people don’t see is the extraordinary commitment required to reach that level of excellence.

Hours spent rehearsing and performing are often hours students cannot spend working to offset the cost of their education. At the same time, universities across the country are increasing scholarship support to attract the most talented music students.

To remain competitive and continue attracting outstanding students, scholarship support is more important than ever.

Why Scholarships Matter

Scholarships Change What Is Possible

Scholarships do far more than reduce tuition costs. They give students the freedom to fully commit to their education and their artistry.

Scholarships help students:

  • Dedicate time to practice, rehearse, and perform
  • Participate in ensembles and productions that represent the university
  • Secure instruments, equipment, and professional opportunities
  • Graduate with less financial burden
  • Pursue careers in music and education

The Impact of Giving

Your Gift Makes a Direct Impact

Every gift to the campaign supports scholarships for MTSU music students.

Donor support helps:

  • Provide scholarships that allow students to thrive academically and artistically
  • Attract and retain outstanding musicians
  • Remove financial barriers to opportunity
  • Prepare the next generation of music educators, performers, and creative leaders
